Frequently asked questions
Feel free to contact us with any further questions via our contact page or social media accounts
What should I expect from my first visit?
At Dynamic Family Chiropractic we take your health as seriously as you do which is why we separate your first visit into two sessions. During your first visit we will take a detailed health history so we can get a full insight into your previous and current health and lifestyle. We may also need to take some X-rays using our digital technology and conduct a physical assessment with your permission.
Your information will then be thoroughly considered and explained to you at your complimentary second visit, which we like to do ideally, within 48 hours of your first. Here we will discuss our findings along with your health concerns and suggest a care plan and answer any questions you may have.
We are confident you will be so impressed during your initial visit to our practice we offer a money back guarantee.
Does Chiropractic care hurt?
In short the answer is no. However, if an area of your body is sensitive or inflamed your Chiropractor will fine-tune your care.
Your adjustment starts when you lie down and relax on one of our Chiropractic tables in the adjustment area. Chiropractic is a health care profession that traditionally uses the Chiropractors hands to perform light, specific, gentle adjustments to the spine to encourage improved function.
We offer many different Chiropractic techniques and are expertly trained to work with your preferences and what works best for each individual.
Occasionally clients may experience temporary aches and discomfort after an adjustment. This is, however, rare. As we have already had a very detailed initial assessment with our clients we are able to ensure we can take the very best possible care of you.
What is the General Chiropractic Council?
To use the title Chiropractor you need to have qualified from a recognised college and be registered with the government body, the General Chiropractic Council.
Every year Chiropractors are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours further training to fulfill the continued professional development requirements and retain their name on the register of Chiropractors.
How long does my appointment last?
In order to make accurate health assessments we ask you to allow up to around an hour for each of your first two visits. Follow-up appointments should take no more than 15 minutes.
How many visits will I need?
Each person is as individual as their body and the time it takes to heal is different for everyone. Usually, we see clients more frequently during their early stages of care, and then as the nerve system responds and stabilises and clients adopt the positive lifestyle changes we recommend they find they see us a bit less.
Do you have parking?
We are conveniently located next to Waitrose who offer free parking for 90 minutes.
Can I bring my children?
As the emphasis of your first two visits is all about your health we do ask if your children join you that you have someone accompany you who can help care for them.
Children are welcome to join you while you have your regular appointment. We have an established play area for youngsters where they can interact with toys, read or sit while you relax and focus on your health.
If your child is being adjusted we find they particularly enjoy making use of our children’s area before and after their appointment.
